What’s in a Beard Oil?

Hey babe, I like your beard. I like the way it feels when it brushes against my lips. It suits you I have to say. I want you to look your best, that facial hair of yours particularly. You see I am on team beard so I feel it’s up to me to make sure it looks its best.

If your significant other has become a bearded man you might want to suggest a beard oil to help him maintain it. Not only do they smell great, they also keep the skin underneath smooth and flake free. During the colder months, extra attention to beard care is essential. I would say a good skincare regime is important all year. For now, let’s focus on his scruff. I will discuss great men’s skincare products with you soon.

TIP: Apply beard oil right after washing your face.

When looking for a beard oil look for some of these key ingredients:

Jojoba oil: non-comedogenic and hypoallergenic

Almond oil: contains high levels vitamin E, improves complexion, soothes irritation and inflammation

Safflower oil: anti-inflammatory (help with redness and bumps)

Castor oil: great for growth, ideal for those with thick beards

Tea tree oil: Soothing, antibacterial, antifungal, anti-viral

Grape Seed oil: great for very dry and course hair

Coconut oil or hempseed oil: light and hydrating

Rosemary oil: anti-bacterial, antifungal, moisturize, improves skin circulation, ideal for treating acne, eczema, dermatitis
