Hey, beauties! I hope you are having a great summer wherever you currently are in the world. One of the things I love about The Things I Wish I Knew is that we get to connect with so many people around the world. I am glad you love all the beauty tips on the site. So, my makeup artist and I were talking about lipstick the other day. I was telling him how hard it is to find a nude lipstick for darker skin tones or just how they can look chalky when applied on anyone actually regardless of skin tone. I love nudes so I am always on the hunt for a good one. I have a few that I love (I will share those soon). We also talked about red lipstick, every girl needs a few good red lipsticks. To be honest, lipstick is pretty much the only makeup I wear other than mascara. I even put lipstick on when I am at home. I just love it! It can brighten your mood. While working from home my life is pretty much lipstick and kaftans. You should try it, you will feel glamorous all the time!
I love Stila Cosmetics. I discovered this brand initially via one of their perfumes (Stila bring back Crème Bouquet!!). Eventually, I tried their lip glosses and I have been a fan ever since.
A few of you have asked me to feature a great stay all-day lipstick. For this beauty tutorial, I decided to feature Stila’s Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick and Liner. One of the reasons I love the Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick is that it contains Vitamin E and Avocado Oil two of my favourite rock star ingredients. Avocado oil is great for your skin and when applied to your lips keeps them hydrated. A lot of stay all day lipsticks dry your lips, even days after application. I am sure you have been wondering why your lips are so dry? It might be the lipstick you are using. When looking for a stay all day lipstick look for one that gives you long-wear and contains ingredients that nourish (Vitamin E) and hydrate your lips. Just like your face, your lips need TLC.
