Fitness Jumpstart: 21 Day Challenge

They say it takes 21 days to form a habit. Just to be clear that’s 21 consecutive days of doing something for it to become something that’s part of your life. Some would say it’s a myth, that getting rid of a bad habit and adopting a new one takes longer. I will say that the more something becomes apart of your life, your routine it’s hard to skip it, particularly when it comes to living a healthy lifestyle. From my experience, when I know it’s apart of my daily routine it’s hard for me to makes excuses. I want to do it! Here is your fitness jumpstart: 21 Day Challenge.

To be honest, when I started the 21 Fix Day Challenge by Beach Body, I was skeptical. This is not a sponsored post, I paid for the program because a friend of mine recommended it. What sold me was the fact that the platform offers over 1,400 workouts that you can do in the comfort of your own home at a time that suits you. The purchase of a challenge pack includes a year membership to the platform.

I have always preferred doing my own thing when it comes to workouts. If I am going to a boxing class at a boxing studio I like to go alone. I don’t schedule my workouts around friends and with friends. This is an important time for me to connect with my body. A time where I can just let go and be in the moment.

Working out from home gives me the freedom to exercise at my own pace without the opinions of others. In addition, it’s important to create your own routine and keep yourself accountable. You should give your health the same value you give your bank account. You have to put in the work to reap the benefits.

I also want to mention, it’s not about being thin or growing a bigger booty, it’s about feeling your best and being healthy. This is why I enjoy this platform and wanted to wait until I finished the 21 Day Challenge before I shared it with you. You might be thinking, what’s the difference between this and doing a few YouTube videos? I love YouTube Fitness channels just a much as you do but to be honest, what’s normally missing is a routine that features a variety of diverse workouts for you to follow throughout the week. While following the 21 Fix Day Challenge I just did the workout scheduled for that day. From Yoga, Pilates to Plyto-metrics or Cardio, every day there is a new rewarding challenge.

2020 has been a wild ride and this has altered the way many people think about fitness. We are excited for gyms to open but also know how important it is to have a great workout routine no matter what. The Beach Body App gives you the freedom to workout wherever you want anytime you want. You can even take it to the gym, where you have access to more weights and workout accessories (If you don’t have them at home, or want to challenge yourself with heavier weights). For those that travel for work and don’t have time to make it to the hotel gym, this is a great choice.

If you are a mom, squeezing in time for yourself let alone a workout can be challenging. Getting in the car and driving to the gym isn’t always an option. This gives you the workout you need without the stress of being in traffic and juggling your already busy life.

21 Day FIX EXTREME

You will have to try it for yourself like I did to see why I love it. They also offer nutrition and eating guides. For the 21 Day Fix & 21 Day Fix EXTREME Challenge Pack, you will receive portion control containers as well as a book that will help you understand how portions work. You will also receive the Shakeology protein shake. I selected the plant-based (vegan) chocolate shake, it’s delicious!

I started with the 21 Fix Day Challenge for beginners, now I am onto the 21 Day Fix Extreme Challenge. I will be adding Barre Blend and CiZE offered on the platform on days I decided to do double workouts.

I still think it’s important to support your local fitness studio. You can incorporate your at-home routine with your boxing, cross-fit, yoga or pilates class. If you can’t make it out of the house, no excuses! Workouts on this platform range from intense 10-minute to 60-minute workouts. If you like to exercise twice a day, this is an amazing way to get it done.
