I think I have been into Van’s since the late 90s. Yeah, they have been around for quite some time. I am honesty not surprised that this brand has lasted this long; it’s great quality. I know most people associate this brand only with the cool on trend skater boy. Well, the cool skater boy does grow up and as a result his style evolves. But that doesn’t mean he has to give up his beloved Vans. Nor does it mean you need to own a skateboard to wear these sneaks.
The snow is finally melting so I know your boy is dying to ditch those winter boots. I hope you grabbed him a pair of Chelsea boots, as I recommended over a month ago. He can still wear these during the spring. A good clean-up along with some shoe polish will get them back to looking brand new.
One thing I like about Vans is that they can be dressed up or down. They also look quite comfortable. I may get a mini pair for myself. Why not join the boys, it seems they are always having fun. I rarely hear them complain about sore feet at the end of the night!
Anyway, take a look and tell me what you think. I can feel the warm of summer already. Also, don’t forget the Pan-Am Games are set to take place in toronto this summer. This means you will most likely see a lot of gents laced up in Vans at the xtreme sporting events.
FYI: If you live in Canada you can pick up a pair of these from either Little Burgundy or a Get Outside. Both stores are normally fully stocked with a large selection.
