One of my favourite things to do is create themed nail designs. When I have some sort of direction, my mind is able to organize creative ideas much better. What’s a better season than the winter holidays for festive nail art?! You can go minimal and subtle, to full-out bling. There are no limits to DIY holiday-themed nail art. I also like experimenting with colours that don’t necessarily fit traditional holiday colours such as white, red, and green.
Frosty blue hues are definitely colours I like to use throughout the year. I don’t think you should reserve any colour just for a particular season and occasion. A frosty blue nail polish makes me feel both frosty and cozy, and it brings a sense of calm. Especially softer blues, like this beautiful pearlescent Essie “Ingi-go for it” I found for you to create this look. I was instantly attracted to the colour, and it is SO versatile (it can be used for any season!). I used Essie “Barbados Blue” but it’s not available online but the colour below is quite similar.
It’s the perfect colour for a glitzy look that is also soft and not too in-your-face. Although there’s absolutely nothing wrong with lots of glitz – I always say “more glitter, the better!” That’s why I chose to combine it with some complementary glitter, Essie’s “Frilling Me Softly.” The combination of these two nail polishes reminds me of soft snowfall. With the addition of some quick, hand-painted snowflakes, you get the perfect winter look!
If you want to get a similar Essie glitter polish online, this one is a great choice.

Remember it doesn’t have to be perfect. Have fun with nail art. The more you experiment and practice you will get better. If you make a mistake, don’t fret because you can always start again. I think this is the fun part! Painting your nails is a nice way to spend a Sunday afternoon. It’s your me time and I think you need to give yourself some TLC!
