I love a Canadian adventure, I particularly enjoy one that’s an hour outside of the city of Toronto. There are so many beautiful gems in Ontario, it’s a shame not to see them. A long weekend is a perfect time to take a road trip to a place you have never visited in Ontario. This weekend I got mesmerized by Bonnieheath Estate Lavender & Winery. I had no idea that something this beautiful was so close to me. In just under an hour and a half, you will find this breathtaking estate on a picturesque rural road in Norfolk County.
Yes, they do have lavender infused ciders and wines in addition to an onsite lovely lavender boutique. Shop handcrafted oils, soaps, all-natural bug spray (pretty awesome), bath salts, body butter, culinary lavender buds, lavender apple/grape jelly, honey, tea and more! You can really feel the love that this family-owned estate has put in each product.
If you are looking for something to do this weekend, stop by on July 7th & 8th for their 8th Annual Lavender Fest. Where you can partake in farm wagon tours, lavender demonstrations – oil distillation, wands & lavender wreaths. Bring blankets or lawn chairs and enjoy the day surrounded by beauty while listening to live music, sipping on cider or wine and eating mouthwatering lavender sherbet.
