I love the idea of combining banana and chocolate since the flavours go well together. The reason why I decided to do a milkshake is that it is so easy to make it look cool and fancy. Drippings and liquids pouring down the sides of serving glasses and jars make the whole recipe look tastier.

MIlKSHAKE
3 bananas
2 cups softened vanilla ice cream
1/2 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla

TOPPING
Fudge sauce (see below)
Whipped cream
Cookie of your choice

INSTRUCTIONS
In a blender, mix bananas, ice cream and milk until smooth.
ADD vanilla and mix for 20 seconds.
Serve in glasses 3/4 full, topped with whipped cream, cookie, fudge sauce and store in the fridge until ready to drink.

FUDGE SAUCE (can be made ahead):
1 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoon vanilla
2 cups chocolate chips

INSTRUCTION
HEAT cream and brown sugar over medium whisking constantly.
HEAT until the brown sugar has dissolved and tiny bubbles start to form edges.
STIR in butter until melted and turn off the heat.
ADD chocolate chips and don’t stir!!! Let sit for 2 minutes.
WHISK chocolate chips until smooth, stir in vanilla and cool.

Store in the fridge for up to 10 days. Reheat it on low power in the microwave in a heatproof bowl if desired.

Tip: Overripe bananas are perfect using for this milkshake.

THINGS GUEST: Arez Mohideen I am a Mechanical Engineering student at the Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg, Sweden. My father has had a bakery since I was a little kid. This is where I started to develop an interest in baking one year ago. I didn’t attend culinary school but I’ve developed some basic skills by always challenging myself and trying new stuff in the kitchen.
